The study aimed to identify the dimensions, components, and indicators of social responsibility among faculty members of Farhangian University. This applied research employed a qualitative descriptive design using thematic analysis. Data were collected through a systematic literature review (meta-synthesis) and semi-structured interviews with 19 experts selected through purposive sampling until theoretical saturation. The analysis was conducted using open, axial, and selective coding with MAXQDA-V18, and the Delphi technique was used to validate the identified indicators in the second qualitative phase. The results revealed two major dimensions of social responsibility: synergy-oriented activities and awareness enhancement. Synergy-oriented activities comprised community commitment and volunteer engagement, while awareness enhancement included promoting social awareness, professional responsibility, and community interaction. Overall, three constructs, six dimensions, fourteen components, and sixty-six indicators were identified, underscoring the multidimensional nature of faculty social responsibility. The findings highlight the crucial role of faculty members in enhancing the university’s social responsibility. Strengthening synergy-based activities, raising social awareness, and fostering community engagement can improve educational quality and increase the university’s contribution to addressing social challenges. The extracted framework provides a foundation for designing managerial strategies and educational policies to enhance faculty social responsibility.
